donates food to flood victims
BEAUFORT, February 5 (Daily Express) --
Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) fulfilled its social obligation
with the distribution of food necessities to flood victims
in Beaufort.
Its
Youth Chief, Jahid Jahim, presented food items such as rice,
flour, sugar and cooking oil to recipients at Kampung Kukut
Padas Damit involving five villages n namely Kukut, Sabandar,
Taratak, Masikuan and Bintuka.
The
event was held in a simple ceremony witnessed by Lumadan
Assemblywoman Datuk Surinam Sadikun, PBS youth secretary
Webley Disim, Beaufort ADO Syed Othman, Lumadan PBS chief
Ruslan Muharam and Kuala Penyu PBS chief Sabastian Anjim.
Jahid,
who is also Youth and Sports Assistant Minister, said the
small contribution from the party was meant to reduce the
burden of the flood victims including strengthening relations
with the people there irrespective of their political ties.
He urged
the victims to be patient with their predicament adding
that the flood was an act of nature.
Houseowner
Yunus Rajah had kindly consented to let PBS use his house
to distribute the food items.
